A subsidiary of Plastomark, [Tufflex Plastic Products (Pty) Ltd](https://tufflex.co.za/), established in 1994, is one of Gauteng’s most reputable and long-standing plastic recycling companies. The company specializes in recycling both post-consumer and post-industrial polyolefin waste and operates one of the most advanced plastic wash plants on the African continent.

In addition, [Tufflex](https://tufflex.co.za/) manufactures a wide range of recycled plastic timber products used across various industrial, agricultural, and domestic sectors. These products are made from diverse waste polymers, including hard-to-recycle materials such as toothpaste tubes, mixed plastics, and multilayer substrates. This positions Tufflex among the few companies in South Africa that repurpose non-recyclable waste, which would otherwise be destined for landfills.

Moreover, all polyolefin waste and scrap produced during standard recycling operations are reintegrated into the timber manufacturing process, enabling [Tufflex](https://tufflex.co.za/) to operate with virtually zero landfill waste.
